The fruit was 100% whole bunch fermented and left to start fermenting naturally with one punch down per day performed. After pressing, the wine underwent malolactic fermentation in barrel and Italian concrete. The different components were blended together after 10 months of ageing and bottled right after. No enzymes or commercial yeast were used in making the wines.
Christian Eedes, Winemag: “Super-complex aromatics of red and black berries, potpourri, dried herbs and white pepper. The palate is medium-bodied with fresh acidity and powdery tannins. As with many wines from 2022, this wine doesn’t have the same fruit density as the previous vintage and is already quite open – hugely pleasurable all the same. 95/100.”“
