product description
Georges Vernay Saint-Joseph Terres d’Encre 2024
Vineyards
Chavanay, Saint-Joseph, northern Rhône, France. Syrah grows on granite soils in the northern part of the appellation, close to the estate’s home in Condrieu.
Winemaking and Maturation
The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented in vats. Maturation in oak barrels rounds out the tannins while keeping the wine’s fruit and spice in focus.
Tasting Notes
The cuvée’s signature is dark fruit with pepper and subtle spice. Its structured palate balances fruit with a savoury edge, offering an expressive introduction to the estate’s Saint-Joseph wines.
