Anne-Françoise Gros and François Parent founded Domaine A.F. Gros in Pommard in 1988. The estate brings together the historic Gros and Parent families. Today, their children Caroline and Mathias Parent use generations of local knowledge to make Burgundy with elegance, depth and a clear sense of place.

Vineyards

Les Montrevenots lies at the southern end of Beaune, beside the Pommard boundary. The vineyard also sits directly above the famous Clos des Mouches. Chardonnay grows high on this sunny slope in stony limestone and white marl. Therefore, this rare white Premier Cru combines ripe fruit with fresh mineral notes.

Winemaking and Maturation

First, the team picks the Chardonnay by hand. Then, they ferment the juice in French oak. The barrels build smooth texture and depth. However, the team keeps the oak gentle so the citrus fruit and mineral character stay clear. Finally, careful maturation brings the wine into balance.

Tasting Notes

The 2023 opens with grapefruit, lemon, white flowers and ripe pear. In addition, soft spice and cool limestone add detail. The palate offers generous white fruit without feeling heavy. Meanwhile, fresh acidity balances a light creamy texture. Finally, the mineral finish stays clean and long.
