Alberto Burzi Barolo Classico 2019
Vineyards
La Morra, Barolo, Piedmont, Italy
The grapes come from different parcels in the area of La Morra with a variable age between 25 and 60 years, such as Rive, Roncaglia, and Rocchettevino.
Winemaking and Maturation
The maceration can last between 20 and 30 days with daily and manual pumping over. The ageing is made in Austrian oak casks of 30 HL in order to preserve perfumes and qualities typical of the native territory.
Tasting Notes
Traditionally Barolo was obtained by blending Nebbiolo grapes from different plantations in order to emphasize the strengths of each vineyard. Only later people started to give value to the qualities of a single cru. In this case, we go back to tradition and high light the structure and aromas of the different vineyards to create a Barolo classico, representative of the area La Morra.
