The last of a legendary line. This was the last Alto Rouge using Tinta Barocca. after 1989, Hempies Du Toit changed the style of Alto Rouge to the Bordeaux varieties.

Situated on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain in the Stellenbosch district.
