Vineyards
Monforte d’Alba, Piedmont, Italy
Winemaking and Maturation
Harnessing their exquisite terroirs, Diego and Stefano make breathtaking wines, which embody the best elements of Monforte d’Alba: structure, texture, minerality and longevity.
The Langhe Nebbiolo is a wine grown at an altitude of 500 meters, in west-facing vineyards. The soils are a mix of clay, tuff and calcareous marl. After macerating for 8 to 10 days on the skins, the wine is matured for six months in 500L oak barrels.
Tasting Notes
Ripe strawberries and cherries, combined with a light floral note of violets, peonies and leather. Tannins are suitably grippy and sandy tannins to give this wine the structure to balance the fruitiness.
