Edouard Confuron Gevrey-Chambertin Les Seuvrees 2023

Winemaking and Maturation
Destemmed and vinified with minimal sulphur until after the malolactic fermentation. This wine is aged for 18 months before release, one year in French oak barrels and six months in bottle. It undergoes a short passage in barrels to soften some tannins.
Tasting Notes
"Old vines, heavily sorted though, to get ripeness. There are two new barrels out of the four, with 20% whole bunch vinification. A deeper purple colour. Showing the oak more on the nose. A dark fruit on the nose, medium bodied, fruit building more to the back of the palate. 92 points" - Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy
