Winemaking and Maturation
Since 2008, Guillaume and Aude have worked painstakingly to improve the quality of their wines, converting to organic farming practices and experimenting with biodynamics. The domaine’s philosophy is “maximum work in the vineyards for minimum intervention in the cuverie.” This has translated to wines that are first and foremost true to their terroir.
Tasting Notes
Mineral, savoury, salty, nutty; very much on the crushed rock, essential oil and wild herb side of the spectrum. After an impressive attack there’s a sense of mineral pull that releases to a flowing and long finish. Powerful, vertical and beautifully pitched. Classic, taut, driving Meursault. An excellent vineyard, surrounded by Poruzots, Goutte d’Or and Genevrieres and the biggest appellation in the Genot Boulanger holdings. Only Roulot have a bigger parcel of Boucheres than them.
