product description
Georges Vernay Condrieu Les Terrasses de l’Empire 2024
Vineyards
La Caille and Sainte-Agathe, Condrieu, northern Rhône, France. Viognier grows on granite-based soils in the heart of the appellation.
Winemaking and Maturation
Whole bunches are pressed after hand harvesting. Native yeasts carry out fermentation, and the cuvée is typically matured in large oak vats and older barrels for around ten months.
Tasting Notes
White peach and apricot are characteristic of this cuvée, with a delicate almond note. The palate is smooth and lively, keeping Viognier’s natural richness in balance.
