Winemaking and Maturation
Oxidatively handled throughout its life. Whole-bunched pressed to barrel for five years, with no topping. Natural fermentation took place. Aged for 60 months in old, tight-grain French oak barriques.
Tasting Notes
The Klein Karoo terroir and extended barrel maturation style define this wine. This wine has a deep structure and salty, nutty layers. The nose opens-up with aromas of citrus and browned tarragon butter. Dry on the palate with of layers of apple Tarte Tatin, lemon curd and a beautiful saline finish. This is a full-bodied Chardonnay. Intensely complex in flavour and structure.
