Naude Family Wines Semillon 2016
South Africa is blessed with some magnificent old Semillon vineyards. When picked at the right time, these grapes produce some of the most complex, fresh and delicious wines with the ability to age very well.

Winemaking and Maturation
Whole bunch pressed, the juice underwent natural fermentation in 3rd fill French oak barrels where it was kept on the lees. The wine spent a year in barrel and shows luxurious body along with a striking purity and strong line of acidity.
With minimal interference and no additions barring some sulphites, this wine will age for 30+ years.
Tasting Notes
Fresh and linear in its youth, but will develop in interest and complexity for many years to come. Overall, it's a very crisp and refreshing wine that can be enjoyed as aperitif or paired with seafood and poultry dishes. The wine is known for its bright acidity and minerality, with flavours of lemon and green apple.
