Sakkie Mouton, Sand Erf, 2021, Koekenaap, West Coast, South Africa. Varietal: 100% Vermentino, from a tiny patch of vines grown on sandy soils. Lifted aromas of lily, jasmine and bamboo. On the palate tight and linear, that is characteristically saline with Quince, Pear and Citrus. This wine is built to last with a lovely phenolic grip and thus should only improve with age.
