Terracura Syrah 2017

Vineyards

Swartland, South Africa. Four vineyards contribute to the blend, predominantly on Kasteelberg schist, with one on Paardeberg granite.

Winemaking and Maturation

Made during Ryan Mostert’s tenure at Terracura, the 2017 Syrah brings together several Swartland vineyard expressions. The project grew out of Michael Roets’ involvement in the Swartland Revolution and the early Silwervis wines.

Tasting Notes

Berry fruit is layered with floral perfume, cured meat and white pepper. Lively acidity and refined tannins bring balance to a vivid, elegant palate.
