ALBERTO BURZI
“I like to think that every wine has a story to tell. In my view, every wine should be able to communicate the joys and the difficulties of a vintage. At the same time, my aim is to make wines capable of describing at the best the link between the so-called terroir and the vine. Creating a great wine for me is the result of numerous little attentions in the utmost respect of nature, in the care of the vineyard and in the cellar management. In short, when I drink a glass of Barolo, I would like it to taste as Barolo, Langhe, La Morra.” ~ Alberto Burzi
The Burzi family owns approximately 7 Ha of vineyards in the area of La Morra: 1Ha of Barbera d’Alba and 6 Ha of Nebbiolo for Barolo. The estate includes vineyards of various ages post World War II old vines to the youngest planted in 2018.
The wines of Alberto Burzi are precise, dense and beautiful packed full with fruit, rewarding both long-term ageing and approachability – a producer destined to be a future star.
