Champagne Leclaire-Thiefaine, was founded in 1878. The Leclaire family has been planted firmly in the heart of the Côtes des Blancs, in Avize, the capital of the Grand Cru Chardonnay of Champagne.

The wines of Leclaire-Thiefaine are made exclusively from the Chardonnay grape with little to no dosage. This helps elevate the distinct style of freshness, purity, elegance and diaphanousness ever present in these superb wines.

Since 2020, Constantin Leclaire has been at the helm of Champagne Leclaire-Thiefaine, where a profound change can be seen in their wines. 100% of their soil is ploughed by horse, vinification is done per parcel to better understand and respect their terroir, and the wines are aged in oak.

The estate consists of 4 hectares:

• 1 hectare in Avize Grand Cru
• 20 hectares in Cramant Grand Cru
• 2 hectares in Grauves 1er Cru
• 80 hectares Monthelon Autre Cru
