Domaine de Saint Pierre - Fabrice Dodane

Domaine de Saint Pierre – Fabrice Dodane has quickly become one of the Jura’s great names. Based around Arbois, the domaine has become known for wines that capture the region’s tension and intensity.

Fabrice Dodane has been closely tied to the domaine for many years, ultimately taking full ownership and steadily refining both the vineyard work and the wines. The holdings are small, spread across key Jura terroirs around Arbois and the Côtes du Jura, with plantings of Chardonnay, Savagnin, Poulsard, Trousseau, and Pinot Noir.

Viticulture is organic and biodynamic, with a strong emphasis on living soils and healthy fruit. In a region where climate and vintage conditions can be demanding, this careful farming is central to the wines’ precision and vitality.

In the cellar, fermentation is spontaneous, élevage is long, and the use of sulphur is minimal. The wines are shaped more by vineyard, variety, and time than by technique. Some cuvées are topped up, showing purity and freshness; others embrace the more traditional Jura approach, with texture, salinity, and subtle oxidative complexity.

What defines Domaine de Saint Pierre is its balance between energy and depth. The whites are mineral, layered, and deeply expressive, whether from Chardonnay or Savagnin. The reds are lifted, fine-boned, and aromatic, with the transparency and savoury detail that make Jura so singular.

Production is tiny, and the wines have become increasingly sought-after as interest in the region continues to grow. This is Jura with real soul.
