A Story of Friendship and Shared Passion

Les Pinots Blacks is a story of friendship and shared passion. The collaboration between three winemakers. Within the Pinots Blacks you will find Bruno Verret from Saint Bris le Vineux,  Thomas Pico from Domaine Pattes Loup in Chablis and Damien Delecheneau from La Grange Tiphaine in the Loire Valley.

The friendship spawned a common dream project involving Pinot Noir, which neither Thomas Pico nor Damien Delecheneau grows on their domaines. The vision here is to elevate and explore the majestic terroir of Irancy of perfectly situated vines and an unfairly unknown appellation.

The project began with a single hectare of Pinot Noir from Bruno Verret – planted and worked biodynamically. The first vintage, 2018, was crafted in the cellars of Thomas Pico at Domaines Pattes Loup. The wine that has come from this project is nothing short of superb, a demonstration of the talent of all parties involved. There is only one wine, and minuscule quantities, making bottles difficult to come by.
