PIERRE GIRARDIN

Rueda Wine Co. is the exclusive South African representative for Pierre Girardin.

Working with RWC since 2022.

Pierre-Vincent Girardin makes Burgundy under the Pierre Girardin name, building on the experience passed on by his parents, Vincent and Véronique. Based in Meursault, he works with estate vineyards and selected growers to produce both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

His approach pays particular attention to fruit quality and the relationship between texture, freshness and oak. Larger, specially commissioned barrels form part of the cellar practice, helping him refine the balance he seeks in the wines. The range spans several appellations, allowing the character of each vineyard to shape the finished bottling.
