Anne-Françoise Gros and François Parent founded Domaine A.F. Gros in Pommard in 1988. The estate brings together the historic Gros and Parent families. Today, their children Caroline and Mathias Parent use generations of local knowledge to make Burgundy with elegance, depth and a clear sense of place.

Vineyards

Clos des Guettes forms a historic walled Premier Cru high on the Savigny-lès-Beaune slope. Its south-facing position brings the grapes plenty of sun. A small group of growers shares this valued vineyard. As a result, the site combines ripe fruit with the freshness and mineral character of Savigny.

Winemaking and Maturation

First, the team picks the Pinot Noir by hand and removes the stems. Then, a short cold soak develops colour and aroma before fermentation. Next, the wine matures in French oak. The team chooses the new-oak level with care, so the wood supports the fruit instead of hiding it. Finally, this gentle approach keeps the texture smooth and the aromas bright.

Tasting Notes

Fresh red cherry and wild strawberry lead the aroma. Then, wild currant, soft flowers and a light earthy note add detail. The palate feels sleek and lively, with fine tannins and a clear mineral flow. In addition, the fruit keeps its bright and open style. Finally, the balanced finish offers excellent length.
