This parcel did not suffer from the frost in 2016, so Benjamin Leroux was able to produce slightly more than in '17: a grand total of 13-and-a-half barrels versus twelve. This beautiful wine sees 20% new oak.
Tasting Notes
The nose has pure red berry fruits, with plenty of redcurrant and cranberry along with some floral touches and oak spice. The palate is supple and silken, with very fine-grained tannins. It's classic Volnay.
