Winemaking and Maturation
Grapes were specially selected and harvested by hand. The vineyard yield was exceptionally low at 4-6 Tons per hectare. Skins were punched down 4 times per day. After completion of alcoholic fermentation, further skin contact was allowed for an average of 18 days.
Matured in 35% new 225l French oak barrels for 20 months.
The blend consists of 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Syrah, 26% Merlot and 28% Cabernet Franc
Tasting Notes
Boschkloof's Conclusion is a true expression of good grape quality and terroir. The wine was made as naturally as possible. On the nose, the aromas are blueberry, mixed herbs, bruised plum and some lovely cigar box flavours.
The wine is highly concentrated, with a big but elegant mid-palate and a long finish. This wine has excellent potential for ageing.
