Winemaking and Maturation
Hartenberg was thus one of the first South African estates to separately vinify grapes from a particular terroir. The 170-hectare property has a pure water source running through it, and a number of birds and animals which call Hartenberg their home.
Tasting Notes
Rich ruby hues hint at the depth within this captivating blend. Aromas of forest floor intertwine with luscious red and black fruits. Accented by subtle leather and hints of cigar box and smoke.
On the palate, a beguiling silkiness is met with firm tannins, framing flavours of black cherries, dark plums, cedar, and leather. With impeccable structure, this wine promises to reward the patient palate, evolving gracefully with time.
