Vineyards
Ampuis, Côte-Rôtie, northern Rhône, France. A blend of parcels across the appellation brings together the floral and savoury sides of these steep Rhône vineyards.
Winemaking and Maturation
Hand-harvested Syrah and Viognier are fermented in stainless steel. Maturation in a combination of used and new oak barrels develops the wine’s texture and integrates the blend.
Tasting Notes
Blackberry and cassis lead into violet, liquorice and a touch of smoke. The palate is generous and velvety, supported by fine tannins and a persistent, spiced finish.
