Radikon Sivi 2022

Radikon Sivi 2022

Radikon Sivi 2022 is a distinctive skin-contact Pinot Grigio from Oslavia in Italy’s Friuli-Venezia Giulia region. Its copper-pink colour, vibrant fruit and gently grippy texture offer an expressive introduction to Radikon’s orange wines. Made from 100% Pinot Grigio, this dry white wine brings freshness and depth to the table.

Vineyards

The Radikon estate lies in Oslavia, in the hills of Collio near the Slovenian border. This corner of north-eastern Italy is renowned for its skin-contact white wines, with Radikon among the producers who helped shape the style.

Winemaking and Maturation

Fermentation begins spontaneously with native yeasts in oak vats. The juice remains in contact with the grape skins for around 10 days, drawing out colour, flavour and fine tannins.

The wine then matures for approximately 18 months in large Slavonian oak barrels. It is bottled without filtration, with a small addition of sulphur.

Tasting Notes

Copper-pink in the glass, Radikon Sivi 2022 offers aromas of red berries, orange peel and gentle spice. The palate combines lively acidity with rounded texture and a delicate tannic grip. A savoury, mineral finish adds depth and length.

Pair with roast pork, grilled seafood, mushroom dishes or mature cheeses.
