Winemaking and Maturation
We use no new oak with our Blueprint as the tannins are naturally quite soft, and we don't want to interfere with the lovely, complex, subtle flavours of this wine.
We recommend drinking the wine young to enjoy its vibrant, youthful fruit and subtle tertiary flavours. However, most vintages can be kept for at least 10 years.
Tasting Notes
Medium deep, true red colour. Lovely pepper, fynbos and a little eucalyptus on the nose hide the chalky red berry fruit. Palate surprisingly approachable with the lively acidity and tannins rippling across the palate in a fresh and delightful way. Palate packed with intense red berry fruit and a spicy, peppery overlay
