Winemaking and Maturation
As is our custom, only hand harvesting was employed to bring the grapes from the vineyards to our cellar and from there, bunch sorting was carried out by hand. Grapes were destemmed and lightly crushed and moved to fermentation vats.
Tasting Notes
"Black Rock is a Swartland cuvée of co-fermented Syrah with 50% Cinsault, Carignan, Grenache and Mourvèdre. Aged in 10% new oak - a lot for Radford Dale - this has intense aromas of pine, sage and eucalyptus, refreshing acidity, plenty of grip for a wine with 12.5% alcohol and blackberry and summer berry fruit. 2023-29" - Tim Atkin
