From standout spots in the city to charming destinations just a drive away, these are the places we are most excited about this month.

“Just next door to Épice, Protégé offers a more relaxed yet equally refined dining experience. Led by the same acclaimed team, the restaurant presents a seasonal menu that highlights fresh, local ingredients. The thoughtfully selected wine list focuses on regional gems from Franschhoek and surrounding areas, celebrating top wines in South Africa.” by Danielle, Sales.

COY

COY has quickly become one of my absolute favourite places to go at the V&A Waterfront. There’s something special about it – it’s refined without being pretentious. Everything at COY feels intentional, from the stunning interiors to the handmade crockery that makes every dish feel like a little work of art. The food is flawlessly prepared, creative, and full of flavour. They have an exceptional curated wine selection. Sipping a chilled glass of Lenuzza Chenin Blanc while looking at the panoramic view of Table Mountain? It honestly doesn’t get better.” by Daniela, Sales Manager.

FYN

FYN is at the forefront of culinary innovation. The restaurant consistently pushes the boundaries of flavour and presentation, with a carefully curated wine selection that perfectly complements the menu. It stands as one of the finest dining establishments in South Africa. Go try out multiple vintages of Sakkie Mouton’s Revenge of the Crayfish or a beautiful selection of Vincent Dancer, Simon Colin and A-F Gros.” by Fernando, Managing Director.

Noop

Noop offers classic, wholesome dishes that are consistently outstanding. With a carefully curated wine selection and exceptional service, it’s a dining experience that combines quality, comfort, and a welcoming atmosphere, making it well worth the drive to Paarl. When there, be sure to request the “Owner’s Cellar” wine list, where you can find wonderful old bottles of some of South Africa’s most iconic estates – Kanonkop, Meerlust, Sadie Family – as well as some star up-and-coming producers such as Angus Paul. There is also a great international selection where you can drink the wines of Emmanuel Rouget, Edouard Confuron and Prieure Roch!” by Fernando, Managing Director.

“Located in the heart of Franschhoek, Épice was recently named “Best in Africa” by the World Culinary Awards and, for me, one of the Best Cape Town wine restaurants. The name, derived from the French word for spice, reflects the restaurant’s bold and globally inspired tasting menu, layered with complex flavours and delicate precision. The expertly curated wine list features the best wines of South Africa and international wines, perfectly paired to enhance each dish.” by Danielle, Sales.

Noop

“Furny’s Fine Wines is tucked away in Noordhoek, this little gem is run by the most genuine father-and-son duo, and their passion for the Best wines and good company is felt in every detail. The wine selection is spot-on; beautifully curated, local, and full of interesting finds. I especially love pairing a bottle of Alinea Viura with their arancini (which, honestly, is reason enough to visit on its own).” by Daniela, Sales Manager.

Ouzeri

Ouzeri is a trendy spot in the city, perfect for a laid-back lunch or dinner. The atmosphere is fresh and inviting, and the wine list strikes the perfect balance between simple and intriguing, focusing on great up-and-coming producers such as Inevitable, Van Niekerk Vintners and Rebel Rebel. The food is always full of flavour, blending traditional Greek and Cypriot recipes with a modern twist.” by Fernando, Managing Director.

“Situated in the heart of Stellenbosch, De Vier blends modern flair with historic charm. This stylish venue serves contemporary cuisine rooted in South African tradition, with a creative and innovative twist. The wine list is a highlight, showcasing different types of wines, independent producers and beloved labels from across the wine regions of south africa, offering something special for every palate.” by Danielle, Sales.

“Seabreeze is one of my favourite spots for incredible seafood in a relaxed, inner-city setting. The moment you walk in, the ocean-inspired interior sets the perfect tone. The staff are always warm and accommodating, elevating the whole experience, their oysters are a must! They are presented beautifully on ice, I recommend pairing them with a crisp glass of Inevitable Blanc Fumé or the Quoin Rock Black Series Blanc de Blanc.” by Daniela, Sales Manager.
