Winemaking and Maturation
Fermentation and maceration were performed in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts for at least 3 weeks. Ageing in french oak barrels and casks for at least 18 months.
Tasting Notes
"The Chianti Classico offers remarkable tension to balance the natural richness that is so typical of this wine. There is plenty of Panzano intensity but less opulence than has been the norm in the past. The switch to a larger oak format and bottling four months earlier contribute to this impression.
Dark red cherry, leather, spices, rose petals, dried herbs and wild flowers adorn this nuanced Chianti Classico. It will be interesting to see in which direction this bottling develops. I wouldn't open it too young." - Antonio Galloni
