BENJAMIN LEROUX
A Distinct Wine Prodigy
Benjamin Leroux, a wine prodigy, had shown exceptional talent at a very early age. Starting his wine studies in Beaune at the age of 13 and cutting his teeth as the régesseur (general manager) of Domaine du Comte Armand in Pommard by the age of 26. In 2007, he established his négociant business in Beaune, which has now grown into a fully-fledged Domaine with considerable vineyard holdings.
Leroux works solely with vineyards either owned directly by himself or on long-term contracts in which he and his team can farm as if they were their own. The majority of the vineyards Benjamin Leroux works with are certified biodynamic or organic, with none under the influence of herbicides or pesticides. The Leroux range of wines spans over the Côte d’Or, from Chassagne-Montrachet to Gevrey-Chambertin.
Benjamin Leroux’s wines are renowned for their purity of fruit, seamless texture and subtle usage of oak. He is considered by his peers in Burgundy as one of the region’s most talented and influential winemakers.
